How to Get Forklift Certified with Our Course:
Anyone that will operate a forklift requires training and certification. Forklift operators must be 18 years of age or older. However, they aren’t required to have a driver’s license.
To certify your operators, simply follow these steps:
- Purchase our course. USB or DVD will be shipped out the same business day if purchased before 7:00 pm EST. If you want your forklift operators to complete their training online, our online option allow you to set up a manager and employee dashboard to easily enroll trainees and track training completion.
- Have the operator complete the course and pass the quiz. Employees should review the forklift operator certification training video and accompanying materials, then pass the quiz.
- Give the trainee a practical assessment. For OSHA compliance, forklift operators must receive hands-on training and pass an on-site evaluation. Our operator evaluation form can help a qualified employee evaluate forklift operators.
- Print an operator wallet card and certificate of completion. These are an easy way to check that forklift operators have received proper training and are licensed.

The OSH Act of 1970 requires employers to provide workplaces free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious physical harm, as outlined in the General Duty Clause (Section 5). This includes ensuring employees are properly trained to operate machinery safely.
Failure to comply with OSHA standards can result in penalties ranging from $5,000 to $70,000 per violation, depending on whether the violation is classified as serious, willful, or repeated.
OSHA requires powered industrial truck operators’ performance to be evaluated at least once every three years.
Additionally, refresher training is required if the operator operates the forklift unsafely, is involved in an accident or near-accident, needs to operate a different type of truck, or there is a change in workplace conditions.
Our online forklift certification course comes with a customizable manager dashboard that allows you to assign training and track employee progress.
Our USB or DVD training program provides printable certificates of completion, which you can keep on file to document employees’ certification. You may also require forklift operators to keep wallet cards for proof of certification.
